You will not receive a bill, and you must be able to receive electronic communications from Blue Grass Energy. You can enroll in prepay by placing a minimum of $100 in your prepay account. No deposit is required. Text or email alerts are sent when your account balance is under the minimum balance of $25. You will continue to receive alerts until the balance becomes greater than $25. Pennies for Purpose is a program that helps our neighbors and communities for pennies each month. It is funded by Blue Grass Energy members who round up their monthly electric bills to the nearest dollar; and provides funding to charitable causes across our 23-county service area. Once a member enrolls, the average yearly contribution would be about $6. For example, a $64.89 bill would round up to an even $65.  Once Pennies for Purpose is funded, charitable causes will have the opportunity to apply for donations.
