Home on Hat Island was designed by Bjarko | Serra Architects, Located at the northwest corner of Hat Island in Puget Sound near Washington San Juan Islands. The houses in narrow waterfront site located on the beach front development is relatively dense single-family homes.This house is designed as two separate building-one for the living and dining, and the other for sleeping. Separate bedroom wing provides extra privacy, so late at night to comfort the children’s parents do not interfere with sleep or fatigue, as the case may be. broad water views, generous decks, and shelter from the orientation of the two buildings contribute fluid relationship between the residence and surrounding seascape.

The materials for the shell building on the resilience. Materials include Western Red Cedar channel siding rainscreen system, Cembonit cement panels on rainscreen system, Tigerwood decking, fencing, galvanized metal standing roof coating
