Multikultural Furniture Design by Rodrigo Almeida in Brazil

Every aspect of the Brazilian culture can be easily traced to Rodrigo Almeida’s projects. Cultural evolution but also its origins are highly marked in his creations bringing to light the possible ways that various and apparently different elements can be used in order to give birth to new ideas.

Furniture Design multikultural by Rodrigo Almeida

There are only few spots around the globe where cultures of different continents get together in a successful way. Brazil is one of these places where Asian, European and American culture co exist harmonically for many years now. Although a relatively young culture, it has been developed through time incorporating various influences from different sources. As a result Brazil bears the mark of a multicultural influence in every aspect of its life, a real blessing for all the people who come to this land seeking for inspiration through a multicultural stimulating network.Rodrigo Almeida is a Brazilian designer who believes in the exploration of the culture itself, a process that helps him discover objects and ideas and transform them to new ones. This is not about a simple reproduction or improvement of the already existing concepts. This is more about a deep understanding of what they represent first and used as an inspiration later on; this way Almeida achives the cultural elements’ transmission to a brand new concept through a personalized manufacturing process.

The Weekend House by Mount Fuji Architects Studio

This weekend house is located on the Japanese mountainside of Izu-san, where the Pacific Ocean can be looked down at from the southern part of the residence, making the living within a magnificent experience. The project was assigned to Mount Fuji Architects Studio in 2007; the architects where to asked to design a weekend house in a site which was rather untouched by the human hand. The intact wilderness of the land on mount Izu-san was covered with deciduous broad-leaved trees such as cherry trees and Japanese oaks. The architects “saw faint glimmer of architectural possibility along the ridge” of the mountain. They didn’t want to create elaborate architecture which would bow before the complex topography of the area, nor did they want to form an undulating landscape speckled with trees all over. Their “abstraction to nature” was the main concept behind their design, as they created a blueprint for perfectly autonomous architecture which seems as if it emerges as an underlying shape under the hidden natural environment.

Wooden Houses Design by Webber + Studio, Inc

This is wooden houses design by  Webber + Studio, Inc,in austin David Webber, AIA, of the Austin-based firm Webber + Studio, jokes that the house in Austin’s Hyde Park neighborhood that he designed for himself and Ransom Baldasare, his business and life partner, is really just like everyone else’s. “It has everything anyone asks for when they’re looking for a new house: five bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, a kitchen open to living and dining areas, a place for guests—programmatically it’s pretty unremarkable.” What Webber says may be true, but the reason he can say it with a smile is because he knows that apart from the program, the house is anything but commonplace.

Home Interior Design by Peter Cohen in Ellsworth, Maine

With nearly a half century of architectural experience, Peter Cohen designed this ingenious spine-and-module home for him and his wife Sally in the coastal forests just outside Ellsworth, Maine. This Image viewed from a good distance down the slope running to the Union River, the Maison Amtrak is clearly oriented toward the river. The deck is sheltered from the neighbors’ view by Cohen’s bedroom to the right and the living room at left.

Interior Design of Alma Road Residence by Kerry Phelan in Melbourne, Australia

Interior Design of Alma Road Residence

This is a interior design of alma haouse in Melbourne,Australia was designed by kerry phelan,Victorian Mansions of the 1800’s are soft points amongst designers and architects.  The idea of striping down such an interior to see it naked as it was originally intended and retaining original elements has a sexiness and sensitivity to it that inspires you. This 650sqm residence is a joy of these factors. The Alma Road project was brought to completion by Australian based design practice Hecker Phelan & Guthrie (Paul Hecker, Kerry Phelan & Hamish Guthrie) in association with Buro Architects and Nonda Katsalidis.  Kerry Phelan designed the interior architecture.  The collaboration was an outcome of how we believe residences such as this one should be successfully treated.
